Fabian Rubio (b. 1999) is a Mexican-American artist living and working in Calexico and Long Beach, CA. The artist’s mostly lens-based practice probes the intersections of gender expression, sexuality, and ethnic identity. His work was most recently exhibited in Arista 1701, Max L. Gatov Gallery, and the Carolyn Campagna Kleefeld Contemporary Art Museum.
Fabian received his A.A. in Studio Art from Imperial Valley College (2019), and is enrolled in the Photography B.F.A. program at California State University, Long Beach. He is currently employed as a Staff photographer for ASI Communications, CSULB.
